Pastor's Letter - March 5th, 2025

Lent is a very special spiritual season at Messiah Lutheran Church.

Ash Wednesday begins the forty-day Lenten season (not counting Sundays). And ends with Holy Thursday (April 17th).

Besides our Sunday morning Worship, we also observe Lent by gathering on Thursday evenings for Soup and Salad Suppers and a video Bible study.

Our Sunday morning services will highlight the purpose and practice of prayer. Pastor Rickard’s message will center around the theme: “Master’s class on prayer” featuring the practices and teachings of Jesus, Augustine, Martin Luther, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

Pastor Chuck Romanowski will supply for Pastor Rickards on Sundays March 9th and 16th.

On Thursdays in Lent, our video Bible study will feature Adam Hamilton’s Luke: Jesus and the Outsiders, Outcasts and Outlaws testifying to Jesus’ concern for those who were considered unimportant.
